
3 minutes too late. As I was driving down the hill to the Sacramento Valley on a 2-lane road, this was what was before me…except with a slight variation. The sun was hidden behind a thinly stretched out cloud. It made the skyline of Sacramento seem as though it was behind a layer of fog. The effect is barely still there in this photograph.
By the time I could find another elevated location I could safely park, the sun had reemerged.
