Another photograph shot at the end of the day, this time in my backyard. One of the reasons I planted Eastern Redbuds in the yard was for the dark, deep purple of the leaves which emerge as tiny shiny heart-shaped leaves. The pink flowers provide a nice contrast to the overwhelming green this time of year.
