How odd.  I was convinced this image would turn out well in monochrome.  Not really.  Despite the obvious contrasts in texture, form, and color, the entire image seemed to run together in post.  So here we are, left with a decently interesting photograph, but not much more.

And yes, I had time after work for a couple hours of shooting, but elected to hit this new section of road built maybe a year ago for some residential development on my way home.  I was banking on being about to put a couple of images in the vault, one for this post and maybe an extra for the future.  There are potentially two chances this weekend to get out and shoot, but while I am in the downtown Sacramento area.  Let us see what comes out of these efforts through next week’s posts.
