Stop and smell the roses – an idiom (phrase) that means to relax and/or take time out of one’s busy day to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of nature.  Many of us hear phrases such as this from time to time.  While our tasks and, perhaps problems, do not go away with just a simple act of spending a few minutes enjoying nature, there are temporary benefits to be gained.  Our minds may not stop churning, but we may place certain threads of thought on hold just long enough to think clearly about one thing at a time.  Or even better, we clear our minds except for the nature we are appreciating for a period of time.
