“Work-in-Progress” – Jackson (CA), Storm Clouds, Layered Hills,

ISO100, 200mm, f/10, 1/25
Jackson, CA (from Argonaut Mine)

I am starting up a new category of photographs with this post: work-in-progress. These are photos I have spent a few minutes on in post, but something just does not feel right. I may one day go back and work on the image, but maybe not.

The scene here is of the incoming storm clouds approaching the Sierra foothills. Within the hour the winds started picking up and later that evening, the rain began. I have taken a few images of this area in Jackson mainly due to the layered foothills which give color depth to the photo with different shades of green, blue, or grey depending on the light at the time. Combine those layers with either fog or clouds and the layer complexity increases.
